Fighting for Human Rights – Yoko Kobayashi

“Follow your heart and instincts,” says NYLAG’s Yoko Kobayashi in this article in the Iroha. As a staff attorney in our LegalHealth Unit, Yoko works with patients directly in healthcare facilities, helping with a range of issues spanning public benefits, housing, family issues, immigration, and advance planning. Before joining NYLAG, Yoko served undeserved communities in other ways, including victims of crime in Japan. In addition, Yoko is currently a board member of Human Rights Now, a Japan- based human rights organization.
