Video: Hope Is a Lawyer by My Side

Our attorneys and paralegals spend months, sometimes years, working closely with individuals and families in crisis. We hear their stories and see their pain, but we also see the dignity, humor and hope that gives them the strength to fight, with their lawyers by their side, for justice and the chance of a better life.

This video was first shown at the NYLAG 2017 Gala, themed Hope Is a Lawyer by My Side, where more than 300 people attended to support NYLAG’s mission of providing high-quality, free civil legal services to low-income New Yorkers who cannot afford an attorney. The event honored New York State’s Chief Judge Janet DiFiore and Kevin McCarthy, General Counsel & Senior Vice President of BNY Mellon.
