Fundamentals of Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Income (SSDI)

On Thursday, June 16th, 2022, Julie Babayeva, Supervising Attorney in NYLAG’s LegalHealth division hosted a virtual training for the National Cancer Legal Services Network (NCLSN) on SSI and SSDI eligibility considerations, including immigration and work history issues. Case examples were also discussed to highlight important factors in the application and appeals process, including special rules for applicants with cancer.
